Kathleen M. “Kathy” Yergler, 65 of Gridley, passed away at 7 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2016 at Heritage Health in El Paso after a 55 year courageous battle with Diabetes.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Christ Community Church of Gridley with Rev. Jack Nicolay officiating. Burial will follow in Gridley Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association or to her church. Calvert-Johnson & Froelich Memorial Home in El Paso is assisting the family with arrangements.
Kathy was born October 18, 1950 in Bloomington, IL the daughter of Robert and June Johnson Faulk. She married Kevin L. Yergler on December 4, 1971 in El Paso.
He survives along with a son Zeke of Gridley and a granddaughter Madyson of Bloomington; Four brothers Dennis (Janet) Faulk of Panola, Gary Faulk of Normal, Robert (Nancy) Faulk of Portland,OR, and Jeff (Diane) Faulk of Normal; and one sister Linda Schaefer of El Paso.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter Ashley.
Kathy was a member of the Christ Community Church of Gridley. She was a Mail Carrier for the US Post Office for over 10 years and had worked part-time for DuPont in El Paso. Kathy was a loving wife, mom, grandma, sister, and aunt who loved spending time with her family. The family would like to thank Kathy’s care givers for their loving care.
