Eureka – Opal L. Stahly, 96 of Eureka, formerly of Goodfield
passed away Monday October 24, 2016 at Select Post Acute Care, formerly Maple Lawn Homes in Eureka. There will be a visitation at North Danvers Mennonite Church in Danvers from 5-7 PM Thursday October 27, 2016. According to her wishes a private family burial will take place at the North Danvers Cemetery. Otto-Argo-Calvert Funeral Home in Danvers is handling arrangements. She was born on September 16, 1920 in Danvers to Robert Quillian and Mamie Altare Bostic. On May 31, 1942 she married Maurice L. Stahly in Danvers. He preceded her in death on April 11, 2012. She was also preceded by her brother Jim, sisters Gladys and C. Kathryn, infant son Roger, grandson Nate Hoffman, and a great-grandson William Ropp.
Surviving are three daughters, Joyce (Ken) Ropp of Tremont, Patricia (Gary) Combs of Fisher and Sandy (Denny) Hoffman of Goodfield. She was a loving grandmother to her ten grandchildren, Jeremy, Emily, Tim, Bethany, Erik, Shawn, Tiffany, Nate, Caleb, and Jonas and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
