Steve James Sloneker

Steve James Sloneker, 55 of Danvers passed away at 10:19 AM Monday June 12, 2017 in Denver, PA.

There will be a funeral for Steve on Saturday June 17, 2017 at 10 AM at North Danvers Mennonite Church. Pastor Brian Sanders will officiate. There will be a visitation on Friday June 16, 2017 at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home in Bloomington from 4-7 PM. Interment will be in North Danvers Mennonite
Cemetery. Otto-Argo-Calvert Funeral Home in Danvers is handling arrangements. Steve was born April 23, 1962 in Peoria to James and Joan Sears Sloneker. They survive and reside in Bloomington. He married Lisa Amberg on July 25, 1981 in Danvers. She survives. Steve is also survived by his two sons Dillon (Kelly) Sloneker and Elijah Sloneker both of Danvers, his siblings, Mark (Julie) Sloneker of San Franscisco, CA, Laura Sloneker-Tillman of Normal, and Erik (Rhea) Sloneker of Danvers.

Steve attended Elevate Church in Morton. He was a Journeyman with Local 649 Operator
and Engineer Union in Peoria. He has been traveling the last several years working the pipeline across many states. For thirteen years he was the owner and operator of Pine Valley Christmas Tree Farm in Danvers. He was a member of the University of Wisconsin Whitewater Quarterback Club, and
spent weekends traveling with family to see his son play college football. He enjoyed spending time outdoors camping with his boys and teaching them how to fish and hunt. He looked forward to
their annual trip to Florida to fish and boat with his family. He lived for his boys and did everything he
could to provide for them and helped them pursue their dreams. Memorial contributions may be made to Elevate Church in Morton.
