Lavinia W. Trimble, (nickname Vin), 95, of Pontiac, IL, passed away at 11:40 am on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Tjardes Health Center of Evenglow Lodge in Pontiac, IL.
According to her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and no services will be held.
Lavinia was born on October 27, 1921 in Hardin, MO, a daughter of Wilmuth H. (Watts) Morris and Barry Morris. She married Arthur Trimble on December 12, 1941 in Palmyra, MO, divorced in 1953.
After retiring from a career as a legal administrative secretary in Oak Lawn, IL, Vin followed her passion for reading as a library assistant at the Naperville Public Library.
Lavinia was an extraordinary woman, like a breath of fresh air, always smiling and full of life! Dedicated to her four children, she single-handedly raised them in a home full of love. Best described as “quite the character”, Vin was thoughtful and compassionate, always wanting to make others smile.
She is survived by her children: Richard Trimble of Lexington, KY and Carole Benson of Bremerton, WA and one brother, David Morris of Tinley Park, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Raymond Morris and daughter Patricia Hart.
