Geremy Edward Hamblin age 41 of Urbana IL formerly of Downs IL passed away at 11:20 AM on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at his residence. His funeral service will be 4:00 PM Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the Ellsworth United Methodist Church 101 Main St. Ellsworth IL. Dave O’Neall and Rev. Gifty Smith will be officiating. Burial will be at Friends Cemetery, Bentown, IL. Visitation will be 2:00 PM-4:00 Thursday at the church. The family suggests memorials be made to his family in c/o of his father, Gordon Hamblin 307 North Chestnut St LeRoy IL 61752. Arrangements are being handled by Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL.

Geremy was born May 11, 1976 in Normal, IL the son of Gordon Edward and Mari Michelle Keene Hamblin.

Surviving are his father, Gordon Edward Hamblin, LeRoy, IL, mother, Mari Michelle Heidelberg, LeRoy IL, 3 sisters, Nicole Hamblin, Bloomington, IL, Jocelyn (Mike) King, Towanda, IL, Abigail (Michael) Mullins, LeRoy, IL, 3 brothers, Aaron (Iesha) Overholser, Arrowsmith, IL, Aaron Heidelberg, Noblesville, IN, Austin (Kelly) Hamblin, Monticello, IL, grandparents, Pete & Shirley Heidelberg, Downs, IL, also surviving Jeff Heidelberg, Downs, IL, a niece, Teagyn Hamblin, LeRoy IL whom he loved to tease, nephew, Connor Overholser, Arrowsmith, IL, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends who loved him dearly.

Geremy is preceded in death by both his maternal grandparents John and Beverly Keene and paternal grandfather Edward Hamblin.

Geremy graduated from Tri Valley High School and attended Parkland Community College. He enjoyed fishing, his times at Lake Cumberland, Kentucky the St. Louis Cardinals and he was an avid NASCAR fan. Geremy loved watching the Dallas Cowboys and the “Cowboy Banter” he shared with his best friend Tyri. Geremy left us to soon we will miss “Geremy being Geremy.” We will love and miss you always and forever. We know that Geremy is with his best friend Shawn. There will be a meal served at the church after the service at the cemetery.
